The year 2017 was slowly but surely coming to an end and it was about time to make some Christmas plans. Me and the travel fam decided to rent an Airbnb villa on Kho Samui. As I was thinking about my next destination after Bangkok, I decided to listen to fellow wanderers and see what they recommend or where they've been up to. The consensus was that the next sensible stop should be Chiang Mai, a city in mountainous northern Thailand, a blissfully calm and laid-back place to relax and recharge your batteries.

Well done is better than well said. So after I said I would go and see places, I actually did do so. My first little road trip was throughout the Southwest of Turkey, making a pitstop in my Mom's hometown and finishing off in Central Anatolia before returning to Antalya.
